There been plenty of dark and gloomy evenings this spring. Recently, though, if you’ve biked, walked, or driven along Fremont between Alameda near Tacovore and NE 57th, you’ve likely been rewarded by the twinkle of tree lights along that route.
Those lights came to be in March due to the City of Portland’s Project Illumination program and the proactive efforts of the Beaumont Business Association. The BBA secured enough lighting for 80 trees from the program for the Beaumont-Wilshire area. Support from local businesses and building owners helped with electrifying the light strings.
