Fremont Street Art Painting
July 19–20 (Friday & Saturday) — Starts at 9 a.m. each day Location: NE 47th Avenue and Fremont Street
Volunteers will be transferring student-submitted artwork onto the bump-out area in front of Amalfi’s at this BWNA-sponsored beautification event. Watch the fun or get messy by joining in on the “hands across the neighborhood” section. See related article on page 10.
Movie-in-the-Park, Little Mermaid — FREE
July 25 (Thursday) — Starts at 7:30 p.m.; movie starts at dusk Location: Wilshire Park baseball field
Enjoy a night of fun with the free outdoor movie showing of 2023 live-action Disney film The Little Mermaid. Rated PG. Presented by Summer Free for All and jointly sponsored by Beaumont-Wilshire and Alameda neighborhood associations. Pre-movie events include music by the Mo Phillips Trio and face painting for kids. Grab a blanket and bring your friends & family!
Art & Garden Tour
July 27 (Saturday) — 1–5 p.m. Location: Beaumont-Wilshire | Cost: $17
In its second year, this BWNA-sponsored event offers the opportunity to discover five private gardens in the B-W neighborhood, each with art for sale displayed in the gardens. Fremont Fest Marketplace
August 3 (Saturday) — 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Location: NE Fremont Street in Beaumont Village
Celebrating 40 years of the Beaumont Business Association with a fun 1980s theme! This year’s family-friendly street festival, on NE Fremont Street starting at NE 42nd Avenue, boasts nearly 200 vendors, a beer garden and DJ, live music, and a kick off at 10 a.m. by The Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers (lastregiment.com).
