Even in a warming world the heat is sometimes a surprise
Of course, you say
We prefer to ignore what we can’t control
Like sunspot surges on the sun
Or historic spikes in world temperatures
Still, when Portland’s rain & grey turn sunny suddenly
the battered spirit soars a bit
despite itself.
