Kathy and her husband, David Campbell, have been a part of the neighborhood since they bought their house on NE Alameda in October 2012. They wanted to be a part of a neighborhood where they would get to know their neighbors and get to spend time with them in the Beaumont/Wilshire neighborhood.
Kathy’s first attraction to the BWNA Association was the newsletter left at their house before moving in. After attending a board meeting, reading the bylaws and meeting with Al Ellis, she felt a lot of great energy. She hopes to be a part of keeping our neighborhood safe and clean for walking around.
Kathy is the Dean of Financial Aid at Chemeketa Community College in Salem and is eager to find other ways to spend her time once she retires in a few years. She thinks board service is a great idea!
Kathy wants to help with fundraising so we can identify our neighborhood with signage, as well as make some improvements in Wilshire Park.
Kathy and David, a retired community college counselor, also have a new dog. Shadow is their 7-year old yellow lab that they rescued about a month ago from a no-kill shelter.
Their daughter Christy, and two grandsons Porter (age 13) and Miles (age 9) live just blocks away. Their son Roy and daughter-in-law Rebekah live in San Francisco and just got married about three weeks ago.
