Spring melts into summer intensity
temperatures soar
lawns tend toward the brown and arid
and a desperately dry, thirsty country
longs for rest and reclamation.
We need a season of peace
a time of brotherhood
to replace our current tribulations,
showers to bring renewed freshness & beauty
and a bright sun to bring light and hope
to a weary land.
