Updates from BWNA board
As the second Monday of the month, BWNA met on April 11 and elected new board members Aaron Breakstone, Angela Frome, Colin O’Neill, Jessica Frazier, Laurel Marshall, and Patti Koehler in addition to electing Patty Nelson as BWNA President and re-electing Karla Lenox as Treasurer.
After the elections, Portland Clean Air requested BWNA endorse a clean air initiative and neighbors brought concerns surrounding Tacovore, both of which will be discussed the next meeting on Monday, May 9.

Crime Prevention & Safety
While we didn’t receive reports of residential break-ins in March, we did hear businesses have been compromised and there have been incidents of car theft. Please be sure to file a police report if you’re a victim of crime.
Friends of Wilshire Park (FoWP)
You can help the Dog Park Water Fountain Fundraiser by dining to donate at Tacovore on May 18 and at Steeple Jack on June 15. Restaurants will donate a percentage of sales; more dates to come.

Transportation
As a result of the special meeting on March 28, BWNA plans to meet with PBOT to look at safety on Fremont as a whole and to discuss modified plans to address issues at the intersection of NE Fremont and Alameda. The city is collecting data for the project. See next page for more information on the subject.
