A Neighborhood Nest Egg

The BWNA mission states we are here to “enhance the livability of our neighborhood.” One way we deliver on this is through community-building efforts. National Night Out and supporting Movies in the Park have been staples, and there’s room for more as we move optimistically toward a post-pandemic world.

Our neighborhood association is a non-profit organization under the Central Northeast Neighborhood Coalition.

Because we raise funds through ads in our newsletter and we canceled events in 2020 and 2021, we have some extra funds.

We want to hear from you: how else can we invest in building our community?

Please subscribe to our email list on bwnapdx.org to receive an online survey asking for your ideas. Look for an email from info@bwnapdx.org on Wednesday, May 11. We’ll keep you in the know via email as opportunities develop!

A really BIG thank you!

Thank you to Al Ellis for serving as fearless leader, contributor, and editor of the BWNA newsletter for 12 years!

Do Tell: What Do Readers Want?

Our new volunteer editors, who have inquiring minds, are asking what readers want from this newsletter. Real estate updates? More about people in the neighborhood? More Beaumont Village business news?

While continuing to build on the legacy of longtime B-W newsletter editor Al Ellis, co-editors Susan Trabucco and Andrew Rinke will be introducing new feature articles and are looking to the neighborhood for ideas.

Send your suggestions to editor@bwnapdx.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
