Development at NE 42nd and Prescott on the Rise
With exterior walls going up at Ethos Development’s Society 42 residential project at NE 42nd and Prescott, the building is taking shape. The 13,300-square-foot, three-story structure will have a total of 44 bedrooms, with 12 to 16 bedrooms per floor.
Ethos President Paul Del Vecchio recently told BWNA that shared amenities on each floor include a large living room, reading room, kitchen, dining room, and a balcony.
“While not subsidized housing, Society 42 is very cost effective and provides a community for its residents on each floor,” he said.
Del Vecchio said final rates are not yet set for Society 42, but that a sister project rents for $850 to $1,200 a month, including utilities. Completion is anticipated to be in April 2024. For more information, visit ethosdevelopmentllc.com/projects/society-42.
Newsletter Distribution Peeps Needed!
The BWNA newsletter distribution team is seeking people to hand-deliver the BWNA newsletter to a prescribed route in the neighborhood either every-other-month or in a fill-in capacity. Seeking Artists for Street Painting
BWNA received positive feedback from community members about the street art paintings on NE Fremont Street completed in early July. Now, BWNA is in the planning stage for phase II, to take place next spring/summer for the bump-out areas near Amalfi’s. Students and other artists interested in submitting a design, please email John Sandie at SandieFam@gmail.com.
Garden Needed!
Do you live in Beaumont-Wilshire and have a garden you’d love to share with others who’re seeking ideas and inspiration? If so, BWNA hopes you’ll step forward to be one of four gardens in its second annual Art & Garden tour to be held summer 2024. Three B-W residents have offered up their gardens thus far; BWNA is seeking one more entry. For more information, email Patti Koehler at patricekoehler@gmail.com.
