Reckoning with the Really Big One

November 13 (Thursday) 7 - 8 p.m.

Location: Fremont United Methodist Church, 2620 NE Fremont St.

The CE Seismic Lab at Portland State University and College are spearheading by raising Shaky Town awareness and consciousness of the Pacific Northwest’s 3 major earthquake faults. The drill reveals the scope of the ongoing efforts for readiness and post-quake recovery when the Really Big One hits. Store to Door Portland Village

November 17 (Monday) 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Location: Community for Positive Aging, 1829 NE 42nd Ave., Portland

Store to Door is a vibrant and engaging community of older adults living in 16 neighborhoods in northeast Portland. The presentation will explain how you or someone you know can join the community and access home-delivered groceries, daily wellness and supportive and generative services to homeowners such as rides, help with activities, tech support, and social events through classes, events, and volunteer events for all of their affinity and craft groups. Northwest Village PDX is a program of Community for Positive Aging.

Fremont Holiday Fest

December 5 (Friday)

Location: Beaumont Village from NE 41st to NE 50th Avenue

Join in the seasonal spirit as Fremont Holiday Fest, sponsored by the Beaumont Business Association (BBA). The event gives the neighborhood a chance to see old friends, get into the holiday spirit, buy crafts and gifts, visit local businesses, and kick off the celebrations.

Starting at 4 p.m., with Santa as the main attraction at Nectar Frozen Yogurt Lounge on NE Fremont Street. The Grant High School Royal Blues will be caroling, adding to the seasonal cheer. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Nectar for photos — sign up begins November 21 at bbapda.org.
